Message from Mrs McLellan

Mrs McLellan (photo taken by Lewis, P7/6)It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Ardgowan Primary School. It is a large primary school with a current roll of 388 pupils, situated in the West End of Greenock, which sits on the banks of the River Clyde. We are delighted to have returned to a beautifully refurbished building this year which provides maximum learning experiences for all. Pupils now benefit from the latest technology in classrooms, a fabulous gym hall and a carefully designed outdoor area.

We are fortunate to have an experienced and dedicated staff who strive to create a happy and productive ethos within the school. We have very supportive parents who take an active interest in the school and their child's education. Our Parent Council contribute greatly to the well being of the school and support the numerous activities that go on through a variety of fundraising activities.

We promote an ethos of achievement in the school, having each and every pupils' best interests at heart. We strive to live up to our 4 school values which form the basis of our whole school ethos - RESPECT, HONESTY, ACHIEVEMENT and FRIENDSHIP.
